Owner Operator Qualifications
- Must be 23 years of age
- 1 year of OTR/Regional verifiable experience in the last 3 years – experience must be applicable to type of equipment being operated.
Flatbed/Open Deck
- 6 Months Flatbed/Open Deck verifiable experience in the past 24 months
- If the candidate has 6 months of verifiable open deck experience more than 2 years ago, but within the past 10 years, they can qualify for flatbed with the addition of attending a load securement awareness program in McDonough, GA.
- Able to pass Federal D.O.T. Physical and Drug Screen
- NOTE: We will accept present long form physicals with 3 months or more remaining
- No alcohol or drug-related offenses in the past 5 years
- No more than one moving violation in the past 12 months
- No more than two moving violations in the past 36 months
- No DOT preventable crashes within the past 12 months
- No history of reckless or careless driving in the past 36 months
Crashes
- No more than 1 preventable in last 12 months
- No more than 2 preventable in last 36 months
Serious Safety Violations
- Will be reviewed on a case by case basis
Tractor Qualifications
- Must have ALL safety/securement equipment on truck at time of lease.
Flatbed, Step Deck (General Freight) – Equipment Requirements
- Cab-mounted headache rack
- 10 x 5/16th Grade 70 Chains/Binders -10 x 4” Straps/Ratchets or (BLEND of 5 3/8 &5 5/16 chains/binder)
- Load levelers – drop deck trailers only
- Tarps are optional (Recommend full set for 48-53 ft trailer with 6 or 8 foot drops)
Heavy Haul Equipment Requirements
- Cab-mounted headache rack
- 12 of each:
- Grade 70 transport 5/16” Chains/Binders OR (6) 3/8″ and (6) 5/16″ Chains/Binders – for 12 total
- 4” Straps & winches
- Tarps are optional (Recommend full set for 48-53 ft trailer with 8 foot drops)
- Working Strobe Lights – 360 degree coverage required
- 2 Wide Load signs
- 10 flags (minimum)
Steel Equipment Requirements
- Cab-mounted headache rack or trailer equipped with a bulkhead
- 12 of each:
- Grade 70 transport 5/16” Chains/Binders OR (6) 3/8″ and (6) 5/16″ Chains/Binders – for 12 total
- 4” Straps & winches
- Tarps – 2 coil bags, full set for 48ft trailer with 4 foot drop steel tarps and padding for tarp protection
- Racks – 8 Coil Racks, beveled timbers and rubber belting
